Technical specifications
Rinsing equipment, used in conjunction with service stations, effectively cleans the air conditioning circuits of vehicles operating with R12, R134a, or 1234yf refrigerants.
The rinsing fluid plays a critical role in removing moisture and acids from air conditioning circuits.
Rinsing is mandatory in the following situations:
- The desiccant filter has disintegrated.
- The circuit has been left open (e.g., due to a damaged hose).
- The system is contaminated (presence of dust, etc.).
- The compressor needs to be replaced (to remove metal shavings that could damage the new compressor).
When converting a circuit from R12 to R134a, rinsing is essential. This process removes mineral oils and prepares the circuit to accommodate R134a refrigerant along with Ester or PAG oil. It also prevents any chemical reaction between Ester or PAG oil and residual chlorine particles that may remain in the circuit.
